Dir. Tonjia Atomic and Forrest Baum (2009)
Two friends use a Ouija Board to seek answers to their burning questions.
CAUTION: MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS
Shot entirely in black and white, this silent film utilizes the old cards to reveal the dialogue that’s on-screen. It’s super cheap, super short (at just 5:30), and is actually a super interesting concept as well. Atomic’s first film, this one was made for a silent movie challenge and it certainly delivers. It very much feels like a remnant from the ancient era of cinema, where the simple ability to see these images on-screen was mind-blowing. Really well done for fans of arthouse indie films.
